home sculptures projects info

In the monumental stone quarries of Lacoste, an eleventh century village which lies in the dry, perfumed landscape of the Provence, beside the mountain range of the Luberon, seven sculptures were made, representing the seven Tables d'Amour, varying in size from 2.50 m. to 3.50 m.
I took the table as source of inspiration for the sculptures. The erotic aspect of The Song of Songs, le Cantique des Cantiques, has played an important role in the creation of these sculptures. A poem of creative love is concealed within each sculpture.
