Each note carries its own significance but, paradoxically, much room is
allowed for improvisation.Timing, and what happens during pauses, are very
important. A few notes, a silence, and the possibilities are endless.
György Kurtág's music is performed by The Orlando Ensemble,
consisting of Hiromi Kikuchi, violin, Ken Hakii, viola and Stefan Metz,
cello.
